Excerpts from The Revealing of the Identities

Well... here goes. The quotes end when there is a number, which indicates where the specific quote can be found in my book. All of the quotes are either said by, to, or about my main character, Erik. Enjoy!

Pretend as you read, there is intense music in the background, getting more and more intense as you read to the bottom. :)

"Zephr has a successor? Who?" 18

"Don't worry. You know me." 72

"Are you underestimating me?"

"Perhaps." 197

"Everyone sees me as young, but I may be the strongest and most experienced person alive right now. Everyone doubts me, but you know I'm speaking the truth." 58

"I heard there is a very skilled bandit who is the successor. Is that true?"

"Yes."

"Apparently, he is good with weapons."

"Supposedly."

"So is the bandit leader a mass murderer, or does he send others to do his work?"

"He sends others?"

"So does he send his successor."

"Yes."

"Does the successor enjoy killing people?"

Erik said nothing. 232

He wasn't known as a deadly killer/assassin for nothing. Because that was who he was. A killer. 82

"But I'll tell you this- I'm a bandit. I chose for this to happen. And this is how it's going to be. I'm just making the best of it." 112

"How come no one knows about his?"

"...[I]t's slowly spreading. Soon it will be out." 221

Erik isn't the deadly assassin everyone thought him to be. He has a secret life in the forest.121

"I am from a lost kingdom."

"Lost from the world or lost to you?"

"Both and neither." 231

"I don't know, Erik, this whole business of yours is going to cost your life someday."

"Sure. Thanks for telling me." 111-12

"What are you doing! Do you not realize who you are hurting?"

"Some stupid bandit kid."

"You thought wrong. He is no bandit." 104

"I helped you escape by not killing you. I could have killed both you and your brother, but I didn't. You're welcome." 227

"He doesn't live as only a killer, I'm pretty sure. There is something else that keeps him going."

"And what is that?"

"I don't know." 124

"When it comes to Erik...you have to be more prepared than that. He kills-that's what he does. He's dangerous." 59

"Hey, you."

"I have a name, you know, and it definitely isn't 'you'." 154

"Everyone, well, almost everyone, sees me as a killer, and frankly, I'd prefer it that way. I like having a secret life that barely no one knows about." 170

This is only the beginning. 245

Updates February 13, 2011

I am in the middle of page seventeen in the Reflections of Passing Time. I finished the character page before. I have 65 characters. Belinda has 102 characters (Wow!). Also, I have decided to do a planning sheet for the novel, like Belinda used to do in her As Time Goes On... novel, which is actually going to turn into a long appendix, not a book. So is A General Named Cilin. So, there are only three actual books in the series. Belinda and I are going to create a few appendixes, sort of styled like the Lord of the Rings, where there are short stories at the end of part six that help the story in whole. That's all for now!
Oh, I'm trying to type up my other novel, the Revealing of the Identities. It's a long process, typing up 245 pages. I am on page 25ish, almost 30. I won't be able to finish it for a while since I am writing and typing at the same time.
